Integrated learning within a strong, supportive program
Our Intensive Integrated Intervention program — otherwise known as “I3″ — is centered around the inherent strengths and supports of the public school setting. The program is designed for students with significant developmental disabilities who can learn within their Vermont public school, but need a highly-trained Intervention Specialist and a specially-designed intervention program.
In this program, we begin by developing a comprehensive therapeutic achievement plan for each student, which addresses academic, social, communication, behavioral, and daily living skills through evidence-based instruction. The ACHIEVE Plan is developed based on multi-faceted, strength-based assessments including observation, file review, school team and parent interviews, functional behavioral assessment, and review of current skills.
Following the design of the comprehensive achievement plan, we select a highly skilled 1:1 Intervention Specialist from our team to work directly with the student on a daily basis. The Intervention Specialist is trained by our clinical staff and supervised by the program manager assigned to the student’s team.
