Integration within a specialized setting
Mosaic Academy is a program that addresses the complex needs of students with developmental disabilities by providing a specialized learning setting within the public school.
It functions as a partnership between Mosaic Learning Center and a Vermont public school or supervisory union, serving students identified with significant developmental disabilities in the public school setting.
Designed to maximize progress toward full integration with same-age peers, Mosaic Academy offers students a safe place to develop their independent skills while capitalizing on the successes within the school environment.
Through this partnership, we capitalize on the strengths of our staff to provide comprehensive, sustainable and meaningful programs for students with complex needs in their community schools. By combining the value of an integrated school experience with a specialized setting, we help students grow and acquire the independent skills they need.
